What number means after moves in Rybka?

I don't know what that number means, number after move-notation.

I think it's a kind of evaluation point. But seems little bit different.

Any ideas from chess.com-ers? Or staff maybe?

The square that piece moves onto..

DondeCorleone

2nd move d4..to 5

True_Beginner

I mean after the move 1.e4

What does "3" there mean?

DondeCorleone

that would be the 3rd move...

DondeCorleone

1 is 1st move then opposing move is 2 and so on...

Sigh...

OK, what about 1.9?

DondeCorleone

That seems to be a evaluation point of some kind, they  vary from player to player.

The purple text after each move is the time you needed to think about that move. Like 1.e4 3, means that you needed 3 seconds to think about the move 1.e4

DondeCorleone

you could post it on forums questions and answers, maybe that would be a clearer understanding on the 1.9

DondeCorleone

ah that mukes much more sense..didnt realise it was blitz game, sorry for any confusion.

The purple numbers!

Adriandmen

The 1.9 after e6 means that you did 1.9 seconds about to move e6

Doesn't Rybka have an opening book? Why would opening moves not be instant?

Adriandmen

This is an online game

kaspy2011

yes it represents the time taken per move
