I actually prefer the bishop of the first set more. I also dont like sets in which the knight is shorter than , or the same height as the rook, which is the case of the second set. However , the first set appears too squat/fat and I like the slightly slimmer overall look of the second set. So, neither set fills all my preferences, I would try to find one that does and failing that would have to make a hard choice indeed.
