I saw someone playing blitz with the DGT once. In between every game they had to pick the clock up, turn it over, switch it off and back on. Maybe they didn't know how to use the clock and someone more familiar with the clock will tell us it's easier than that. The Chronos can be reset to the initial setting with one button press on the top of the clock (if you fear accidental resets, you can change it to be reset with 5 quick pushes instead of 1).
As for double tapping because the first one doesn't take, I've never seen the first button push not switch the clock. If you feel the button go down, you've pressed your clock. The double-tapping kids are just playing around.
Well, I guess I figureeven a decent digital clock is $40, so I might as well just put that towards a better one instead of buying one now and anothe rin a couple years. I do like the looks of the DGT 2010, don't know how often I'll play FIDE events if ever. Guess it depends on what I can get a decent price on.
