Without a doubt one of the most elegant and perfectly carved/finished sets I've bought in a long time. You should be thrilled when yours arrives.
The design of the Hallett chess sets is among my all time favourites.
This is one of my favorite sets - bravo Mandeep & co.

And an excellent book at that! I continue to enjoy my copy and it is getting a little frayed from my continued desire to peek inside and explore the background of some pieces.

You’ll love the set. I first purchased the boxwood/ebony, then added the padauk pieces (the only time I’ve gone overboard for a particular set). The individual pieces are beautiful, but the proportions between the pieces are perfect.
