Something seems off here. Is the cross on that one king smaller or is that just trickery with the perspective there? 🤔

Well spotted! It was a trick picture with one king from Best Chess Set Ever XL and the other from HoS Collectors Serier 4´´.

Here´s another one:

Why did he block you ? cry

@hermanjohnell Hey I would consider that a benefit. Didn't he say that we would have nothing without him? And yet I just got a new Tal chess set last week. I should post my review on it since it's kind of unique in an unexpected way.

I am a new player. Will a patient teacher teach me?

@hermanjohnell So a brand new account, with a girl picture, says she wants to learn, and posts into a thread with this title.....hmmm....smells like 'Desparate'ation to me. And going through all that hassle just to troll. What kind of person actually does that.

Well, I don´t know much about such things but she looks allright to me. So I´m a tad disappointed. Still, we´re more into looking at chess pieces than at girls.

This isn't the first time that he posted something fake and then tried to lie his way out of being caught.

Avatar of hermanjohnell

If she is a he something is... wrong. But hey, this is the internet and we live in an age where one can choose ones pronouns so... a King may well be a Queen. Or, simply, Queer.

For the record.

I´ve had problems with DesperateKingWalk. He is knowledgeable and has a lot to contribute but a tendency to bully other users. I got tired of that and chose to block him. Based on my experience of other internet fora I belieived that this meant that his posts wouldn´t show up for me but I know understand that on chess.com it means that he´s blocked from posting in threads started by me. That was not my intention. He´s now unblocked (and I´ll just have to do my damnedest to ignore him).

Avatar of Yenster1

Well he may be knowledgeable about some things, but not knowledgeable about everything, which is part of the problem. He goes insane when he's wrong about something, and then just fabricates lies so that he doesn't have to admit when he's wrong, and that's when he starts to bully other users and call them names (kinda like he's doing now in his king post). Actually, come to think of it, he once bullied someone who simply had an opinion that a clock led was kind of bright. He's been wrong and lied about so many things that there's no way I'd take any advice from that guy.

The block feature on chess.com is designed to prevent a blocked user from DMing, sending game requests, sending in-game messages and commenting on blog or forum posts you create. You will still see comments from a blocked user created elsewhere.

Also, blocking a user from an existing forum post prevents new comments. Existing comments will remain.

I had two members (who happened to be females) get quite personal with me.....I'm happily married and told them so but, they kept at it. In the first case I ignored her until she went away and I unfriended her. The second one was trying to sell me something and I blew her off.

Very annoying to me...To my wife? Hysterically funny.

As for the other member, who's doing a great job of alienating folks, including me?

I'm still trying to figure the guy out....Just an antagonistic disposition and for some reason, he can't just let things go & be pleasant & complimentary....How hard is that?

Look at folks like Powder and MCH (a few others too) ...."Class acts"!

Just being on chess.com apparently makes one a gigachad. They should advertise this.

Ha! I asked Alexa what that means. Hysterically funny but, kinda' true in my case.wink

But why can you still edit posts when you're blocked?
