Because of its relatively small footprint, this is probably my most used set, because it fits on all but the smallest tables at the cafes and coffee shops that I most frequent.
The 3.75" Elite Staunton in dark rosewood a on 2" board.

My next most used set, where space allows, is this larger 4.25" Titan set on a 2.375" vinyl board.
To store the vinyl board, I use a 1.5" PVC tube with end caps. It keeps the board from getting scrunched, and doesn't wrap it to tightly.
And the end caps provide some structural support.
Wow. Nice shots.
I find myself flummoxed on taking decent pictures of my sets. Not that mine were terrible, but I didn't know quite what I was doing.
Chess.com also ate my comment when I was uploading a large image so I thought images were limited to less than a 1 MB or something.

Ipcress,
I'm using a 12 megapixel Panasonic Lumix camera with Leica lens. I take the photos at the highest resolution (c. 4000 x 3000 pixels), then use the Paint program in Windows to reduce to 25%, which brings them down to 1000 x 560 pixels. At this size, there's still plenty of detail and I don't have any problems uploading online.
Lou: I'm using a 9 MP Panasonic Lumix, a model or two behind you. It's a sweet little camera.
I downloaded one of your pictures (the rosewood on vinyl) and it weighed in at 3.9MB and 4000x2248 pixels. But I don't see it now, so I guess you pulled that one back.

Ipcress,
I started uploading the pictures but forgot to reduced this set before posting. Once I caught my error, I reduced all the photos and replaced the one or two large ones. I think you grabbed one of the larger ones before I replaced it.
Giampo: Yours is a good-looking and functional set after my own heart.
Are Chavet wood sets still being made?

loubalch,
Where did you get your sets?

Lou's Reply:
The Elite Staunton was from The Chess Piece in Florida; the Olympiad Titan was from the Chess Cafe.

WARNING: The Chess Cafe appears to be in financial difficulties. I received my last order after waiting three weeks, during which time, I received no acknowledgement. Also, they never responded to my numerous emails and phone messages. So I can't recommend them.

I also have sets from the House of Staunton and House of Chess.
Don't clearly remember the night but I do know he missed that checkmate.
