Hi everyone, I’ve noticed many players here are actively trying to improve and asking the right questions. I work with beginners under 1200, focusing on practical improvement — spotting common mistakes, improving king safety, simple plans, tactics, and endgame basics. If you’re stuck, struggling in rapid, or unsure what to work on, I’m happy to help. I can review a game and explain what actually matters at this level and how to fix it. I’m offering a free introductory game review/session, so there’s no pressure — just to see if my approach helps you. Feel free to reply here or DM me if you’re interested. Good luck and enjoy the games 👍

Hey ! 🙂 do you feel fully comfortable with all the rules and piece movements, or do you think that part still causes mistakes sometimes? Also, what do you feel are your main weaknesses right now when you play? (time trouble, tactics, endgames, planning, etc.)

I was watching but you must be feeling confident right now

You could have sacrificed your queen in your last game on F8 and he would be forced to take then you recapture with rook and that would have been a checkmate

That’s very normal at this level 🙂 blundering is usually not about “bad chess”, it’s about not checking a couple of simple things before moving. I was around 500 in blitz myself about 2 years ago, and most of my losses were exactly the same — hanging pieces or missing simple tactics. The good news is that this is one of the easiest problems to fix with the right habits. A small change like forcing yourself to look 2–3 moves ahead and asking “what is my opponent threatening?” before every move already cuts blunders a lot.
