Hello everyone!
I am brand new to the game of chess and started playing about a week ago. With that being said, I have dabbled into some of the training here on Chess.com and watched/studied some YouTube videos from Gothemchess!
These have been super helpful and insightful, but I was curious to know if anyone is willing to maybe offer some coaching and/or mentorship. I am 31 and definitely not as sharp as I once was and fully understand chess is super complex! Due to this, I think I would benefit greatly from some old school coaching and mentorship to learn in real time and get on the spot feedback!
I totally understand that may not be the norm to ask nowadays with all of the resources available, but I feel like it would greatly help me improve! In lieu of that, I will of course be doing my own training, playing games, etc. I just wanted to know if anyone would be willing to help out a newbie such as myself!
I am super driven and passionate about learning and would in no way whatsoever waste anyone's time or energy if I was not fully committed to learning and getting hands on training. I know everyone's time is valuable and in no way would want to take away or hinder anyone from maximizing their time. More so asking if anyone has the bandwidth to offer up any free time to help! Unfortunately, I do not know anyone in my community or inner circle that are into chess.
Otherwise, I am even grateful for any good advice that anyone can offer in terms of what has helped them become successful. Whether that be courses, books, or even certain YouTubers that are recommended!
Any help would be appreciated! Thank you for anyone's time in advance who reads this forum and offers any help/advice!
