No one to practise with, should I get lessons?

I've recently been looking at my chess and thinking, "I know I can play much better than this, why aren't I?". I feel like I need a nudge in the right direction and my rating could potentially go up to the 1800 level in months if only I was practising in the most effective way with someone to point out my mistakes. All I really need is someone to play chess with who's a bit better than me to practise with, telling me where I can improve. No one I know who plays chess is better then me (I'm not saying I'm good) which means I'm leaning towards getting lessons but all I really need is someone to practise with, what should I do?

One of the great things about chess.com is that it can provide an endless stream of players who are a bit better and a bit worse than you. You can set your rating preference range to be +- 50 points from whatever you are rated.

Interpreting the lessons that we give to each other takes more time investment from you.
