Hi, in my opinion, pattern recognition training — especially the modern approach of drilling large sets of exercises — is important, but I usually recommend it to my students only after they’ve built solid fundamentals: basic tactics, simple endgames, and understanding typical plans in common structures. That stage typically starts around 1600+.
Below that level, the regular Chess.com puzzles are good enough.
