The point is that Lichess has easier interface to explain and use data. Also you have private study which you can probably download for your self if teacher allows.
In my opinion that is correct way to do. Best regards Ivan

Hello Ivan, thank you for the insight. Of course, I disagree. Chess.com has significantly more features than competing websites. Many people are just not as familiar with them. We also have a studies-like feature now, Library, which gives you at least as much functionality as similar features on other sites.
The OP has a very valid point. If he is reaching out to coaches on Chess.com, he is right to expect lessons on Chess.com. If he wanted lessons on Lichess, he'd be looking for coaches there.
If the communication is coming through Chess.com, it's reasonable for a student to assume the lesson will be here. Of course, you (as a coach) can use whichever site you want otherwise.
Finally, from a pure business point of view, why should we promote coaches who not only do not use Chess.com, but are actively encouraging users to follow them to competing websites? If someone prefers to use other sites, that's fine. But then, we don't have to provide them marketing exposure here.
What you all said is common sense. I just said why some people do prefer lichess. But everything that you said has perfect sense...
I don't know why. I been teaching chess for the last 8-9 years, and I use the chess.com platform.
I guess it's personal preference.
I've messaged several chess coaches on chess.com. A couple from the Philippines, Serbia, and India. After getting a price and a time, they then say that we will use lichess for our lesson. Why is that? I contacted them on here, but then they want to use lichess. Is there some reason for this?
First of all, find a coach you're comfortable with. Then use whatever platform they advise unless it doesn't work for you. Finding a good chess coach is like shopping for shoes. Its not always the most expensive, or name brand that works best for you.
