I am pretty much brand new to chess, 33, around a 1300 rating with really only knowledge of most of the opening sequences and being able to think a few moves in advanced but that’s about it. Have played under 50 times in my life and have not taken lessons before. Looking to get to 1700 over a two year period and willing to commit 5 hours a week. Very quick learner, former attorney before selling business, and like intellectual challenges. Want to get into chess more as an ongoing hobby and something to share with kids, etc.
Willing to pay per hour for top teachers. Will need references/examples of past work.
