You played quite nicely I think against a player rated 400 points higher. But you missed some tactics which was your downfall. Firstly losing a pawn early, then later when you had a good chance to win with Q+R vs Q+B you hung your rook on g2 to Qa8+. So tactical awareness is something to work on. But through the middle game I thought you placed your pieces on good squares and generated good play.
When you have the king on the run, you probably want to reduce the kings escape squares. With check if possible.
At 54. Kf3, his best chance for mobility and safety is out toward the center. Move like ...Qh1+ looks like it limits the king a lot. Probably with good mating potential with the limited space for him over on the kingside.
An additional benefit which I didn't notice originally is that it also covers h8 square which tempo might be useful to white.
