I'm much higher rated than you, second

Your USCF rating is 1750, im an A player.  Im not trying to downplay what youre trying to do.  In fact i think its very commendable offering to help others.  I was light heartedly joking with you when i made my comment.

1536 one, i am playing a tournament two weeks later and at that time, my rating will increase. My level is 1750, but I don't play that many tournaments

So you are not 1700+?

Because in post #7 you say you are 1700+.

How do you you know your rating will increase and will go to 1700+?

How do you know your rating is 1700+ if your rating is really 1536?

I'm just wondering.

I get lessons from an IM every Friday night for 1 1/2 hours and he charges $21. I know this is a pretty good deal, but why would anyone pay for lessons from anyone less than an Expert? Particularly when they say they are one level and are actually 200 points less???? sounds VERY suspicious to me...

I think as long as you are teaching people at a level that you are capable of teaching, its a very commendable thing to do.  It doesnt matter what your rating is, you still have something to offer.

I'm an active player, currently rated 2004 FIDE, and have been rated above 2000 for most of the past 20 years.

I have like 15 years experience with teaching chess, and I charge 16-19$/hr. (10$ for intro lesson).

That's an excellent price.
