chess mentor is ineffective at teaching

Maybe it's just the lessons I have done so far, but with almost all of problems Mentor gives an explanation when I make a move that it feels is not the best.
While I agree with those who claim there should be somewhat more commentary for wrong or alternately correct moves, I'd say that on the whole, this tool is superb. I'm very pleased to note that with the help of the Mentor, the Tactics Trainer, the Daily Puzzle and the Computer Workout, my knowledge and Online results have improved dramatically.
While sometimes it is annoying that the Alternate Correct move is not accepted, I like the fact that I have to try again, to realize that there is more than I good solution. I do not worry about my score too much. As long as I am learning that is all that matters to me.

In this lesson the mentor want me to move my king to h1, but the only good move should be Qc8+, and then mate in next move?
I allso want to be able to discuss every lesson right on the lesson, not here where it drowns rather soon...
Sorry, The chessmentor is really super!! I am new here and this tread was the first i found to post this problem. Bad moves is human nature, but how can we together clean up the super mentor system?

So are you saying that everyone falls into either one of two camps:
- They have the requisite spatial-logic reasoning skills required to get better
- They do not have the requisite spatial-logic reasoning skills required to get better
The former become the high-class players if they work hard, whereas the latter cannot ever improve.
Is that what you're saying?

Nope, Kh1 is the correct move. Qc8+ will cause white to lose after Rf8+ losing the queen.

Sorry, you are wrong. After Qc8+ , Rf8+ wins the queen and the game for black. You did not notice that when black defends, there is a discovered check by the bishop. The problem is correct.

I mean this in the best way...slow learners are often people who assume they are right. Fast learners do not.
You were slow to learn because you made the assumption that Chessmentor was wrong, and you were right, so you stopped looking.

I am still wanting the possibility to take this discussion on the lesson itself, there we can get this kind of help direct on the problem. The fact that I missed the discovered chess in this example is kind of work in progress here ;-) Tnx for the link!
when there was just one right move, it liked my move and said correct, but when there were multiple possible moves it just said "wrong move, try again" ?! how lame is that? i tried another move and it said "wrong move, try again". what a waste of time. i wonder what the reviews are chess.com were thinking. i checked the hints and the strong hints and they were telling me to do the very thing I first did but it said I made the wrong move. chess is not like that. there are many ways to accomplish the same thing. IT COULD AT LEAST SAY WHY AND SHOW ME!! just venting and communicating.
