usually at that level simply focusing on not throwing away pieces, knowing an opening, and maybe starting to work with the tactics trainer tool will get you past the 1200 rating and on your way. If you want, I am higher than requested, but I am happy to play you a slow (1day or more / move) online game and would be happy to tell you what I am thinking as we go.
