I'm working on building software to make it easier for gamers to hang out with friends in-game, it's called Malibu and we just started our alpha last week https://malibu.gg
I'm a casual chess player as well and after talking to a few friends it sounded like something like this could be useful for chess coaches holding lessons or even between friends who want to watch each other play and provide live commentary.
Let me know if you want to try it out! Also, curious what tools you use today for coaching or streaming chess (or any other games) to friends.
