Hi I am a raw recruit and absolutely new to the game.  I played chess for the first time last weekend with my daughter's boyfriend and I am hooked.  I really want to learn the game so if anyone out there wants to play with a rooky then please contact me

Evrybody wants to beat a rooky :) just start a game, slow or blitz.

To learn the game you should start with some easy tactical puzzels and the pawn endgame. It's easy to step it up as your skills grows. And it's fun to learn :)
