Hi friends, I've known how to play chess for about 4 years now but I can't seem to improve.

Friends who learnt it as recent as 6 months ago now whoop me with few moves and it's crazy.

Hey, I'm not a dullard. Lol. Just think I need to learn more tactical moves and improve my battle approach.

Anyone willing to mentor me?

You must mean a coach. Chess Mentor is just the old name for the thousands of interactive lessons available here. You should give them a try. It's about as close to a free coach as you can find. There is a set of free lessons for you to try.

And play some games here too. No one can get any idea of your strength unless you play. The good thing is that you will soon find someone about your strength. Chess is more fun when you win occasionally.
