As a full-time chess teacher, coach Kestony not only has a great depth of knowledge but also the tried and tested methods for teaching. He is bursting with good energy and I always look forward to our lessons!

Kestony has been my coach for the past four months. I am an "adult improver" who learned the rules of chess as a child but never played seriously, and I came back to chess about a year ago. Kestony is an excellent teacher. He is very knowledgeable, patient, clear in his explanations, full of energy and enthusiasm. I really enjoy our weekly sessions and look forward to his friendly advice. The knowledge I have gained from him has helped deepen my understanding of chess and is already leading to improvements in my play. And he is an extremely nice person. Highly recommend him as a coach!

Amazing chess coach - pure and simple! I am an adult that started playing just a couple years ago, and six months ago found Coach Kestony’s YouTube channel. I liked its no nonsense approach to chess. After my first lesson, I was hooked! Since then, I try and meet twice a week via Zoom - and my game has greatly improved. Every class is different; we do strategy exercises, review games, learn endgame technique, practice opening theory, and more. Plus, he’s super funny and makes you feel like a grandmaster no matter your true level. Highly recommended!

Coach Kestony was a pleasure to work with and I saw immediate improvements in my game. He has a lot of great specialized drills and exercises that help you improve on your weaknesses. He is a great communicator, and his rate is very affordable. Highly recommend!!

While I started chess in my teens, I decided to pick it back up again 20 years later with a more serious tone. I decided I needed a chess coach and reached out to Kestony. My lessons with him have been nothing short of exceptional. He has filled my knowledge gaps in chess with principles that have truly made a positive impact to my playing style almost immediately, and more importantly, has enabled me to feel passionate again about Chess. While I initially stepped back into chess thinking I had my own game plan and what openings I wanted to play, I realized quickly with Coach Kestony that my approach would be short-lived if I didn't first understand the purpose behind common chess principles. My thought process in common positions for attack and pawn structures has matured quickly thanks to Coach Kestony, especially in deciding WHEN and HOW to open or close the center to my advantage.
