Chess mentor is the only reason why I upgraded my account to Diamond.
What is Chess Mentor and why this new forum?
chess mentor is coming to both android and iphone and ipad later this year!
Speaking of which, when is V3 available to all members?

it says that i have used 0 hours on chess mentor when i have done 2000+ lessons??
You are very quick.
On the chess mentor page it says this:
IMLarry Kaufman
" Chess Mentor seems to be the premier teaching program on the market today. I am sure that your strength will go up if you follow the program and put in the necessary time. "

But shouldn't it be GMLarry Kaufman?
Hi,I just joined. I want to upgrade my membership to use Chess Mentor. The premium membership web page says the Gold level gets 3 lessons/day, but when I choose it, I get a pop-up that says Chess Mentor is only available in the Diamond membership. What's the real deal?

You don't have Gold membership, there's no yellow star by your username.
Have you paid yet?

No, I haven't paid yet. I didn't want to buy a membership that didn;t give em Chess Mentor access.
Then you're in a bit of a bind, a catch 22, if you will.
One has to purchase a membership before enjoying the benefits.
Solution: Buy the membership in the knowledge that the site offers a full, no quibble, money back guarantee, for thirty days.

What if I want to just try a plan? Can I cancel it or change it for any reason?
Yes. Take a plan for a test drive and if you’re not satisfied for any reason, you can get a full refund for up to 30 days. No questions asked. If you just want to switch to a different plan you can do so at any time in your "Membership" settings without any penalties.
Thanks, I guess I could go that route. I was hoping for a more definitive answer before I choose a level so that I wouldn't have to do it twice.

You've got to be kidding me.
I am a platinum member and I am supposed to have 5 lessons daily. When I go to Chess Mentor, I am told that "You have reached the maximum daily lessons for your membership level." I haven't even started for the day. How do I get my five lessons a day?

When I look at the upgrade options, it looks to me like Chess Mentor is only available to Diamond members.
In Silman's Rook and and other Endgame's course there are a lot of duplicate lessons. I get that practise is important here but if you do this course in order the positions aren't even mixed-up. You just solve the same problem several times. Any chance of some editing on this.
I originally paid the money to join because of the videos and Chess Mentor. I was then very disappointed in Chess Mentor, because it would send me to a completely different topic after I finished a lesson, which seemed pretty dumb. Took me a while before discovering that there was a way to stick with a specific course, rather than let the system decide it all for you. Now I really love it. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing it on my Android, too. :-)
