We've reached round 6, and my early misgivings about the Armageddon 10-7 clock advantage seem completely misplaced. Black's been doing quite well. However, it doesn't make much difference for the drawing rate in the longplay. We're well above 70 per cent drawing rate.

Norway Chess has started. Five (dullish) draws in the longplay, and then 4-1 to White in the Armageddon games. The new rule here is that White gets 10 minutes, while Black gets only 7 (normally it's 6 vs 5), and Black wins in case of a draw. Obviously early days yet, but a whopping 3 minute advantage on the clock for White seems excessive to me.
