What does chess have to do with politics?

Chess is primarily a game. so why are restrictions imposed for political reasons in this case, why does the company that developed this app speak out about politics, since when has this become the norm?
Шахматы уже большое отношение имеют,чесс ком уже прокис русофобией,в чесс есть много людей, которые ненавидят Россию, особенно в 2022 их пиздец,как много было,мне много раз отказывали в игре из-за политики
Не только шахматы, весь мировой спорт уже погряз в политике
