1. a3 for accelerated wing gambit. 1. a3 c5 2. b4 cxb4 3. e4 bxa3 4. Bxa3 with ample compensation for the pawn. A major improvement over the Halibut gambit 1. c4 b5 2. cxb5 a6 with the same idea.
