OK, granted, duskrevival, against 1.e4 a5 your move 2.Ke2 in post #93 is an improvement over Tiger's lemon. But black failed to find the right continuation. Instead the weak 3...Nf6, black has 3...Ke7! which seems to equalize nicely, as in this game:
Engines are terrible at anything but tactics. Grandmasters are far from perfect and play new improvements in the openings all the time. Chess is so complicated that it is understandable how they missed this impressive move.
OK, tough guy! I'll accept the challenge! I'll play a game of live chess on this site, I'll play 1.a4, but I ain't showing the game to nobody! That's how Anthony Weiner got into trouble!
Of course, 1...a5 works as well for black as 1.a4 does for white. And especially against that laughable excuse for a move, 1.e4. Take a look at this gem:
Don't underestimate 1.e4, As I said before, 1.e4 allows 2.Ke2!! Watch the power of this move as the game below shows.
The proof 1.e4 isn't bad
Also, e4!!!! allows K(for Kangaroo)f4!!!!:
It does not... It allows for the King's gambit!
2.Kf4 is the Kangaroo's Gambit, not the King's Gambit.
Here is a sample opening with 1.a4:
How do you get your board to make illegal moves? I can't figure it out.

You need to if you make illegal moves like e5 after a4. f5 is forced!
