4 move queen sacrifice mate name?

Just wondering what the name is of this checkmate, if it has one. I'm wondering so I can google it or something, and see good counters, etc.

And also because I'm curious. 🙂

Anyway, it goes something like this...

E4
F8 (or F9)
Qh5
G7
Be2
xh5
Bxh5

Despite how simple it looks, it is actually quite good against low intermediates and beginners...

Anyway, thanks for any info.

I believe you are referring to Legal's mate.

Not this four move version, I don't think.
OseanVega

I think he refers to this mate

Hm.... Any queens die famously in history?

What about... A queen Mary's mate?
JustOneUSer
I mean that the opponent can move either F8, or F9. It doesn't matter which.
FortunaMajor

It doesn't actually have a name. It's like a variation of the fool's mate, except the fact that it's mated with a queen instead of a bishop.

Um... Queen Mary's Foolsmate
FortunaMajor

Who's mary anyway?

JustOneUSer
Mary Queen of Scots- probably the most famous queen to be executed in history.* And as the queens dies here....? Yeah, not really a good idea.

* I guess Ann Berlin is another one. More famous, even.
FortunaMajor

Ann Berlin Foolsmate?

I think you mean f6 or f5.

If you are looking for a name for this mate, I have it.  The Moron Mate!

You have to be a moron to play 1...f6 or 1...f5

You have to be even more of a moron to play 3...gxh5

Doing something like this does nothing more than make someone who plays the Smith-Moron Gambit (1.e4 c5 2.d4) actually look intelligent!

You should send this to FIDE.

I never said it was good.

AlI I said was that it has fooled many people before. (I've payed against five. One worked it out, and didn't take. )

Do you have to be bad at chess to fall for this? Heck yeah'

But, as I said, it can pool the wool over the eyes of beginners.

And yes, I meant F3 or F4.
