4...Qe7 in scotch game

Scotch game is one of most popular games in chess. Sometimes i play 4...Nxd4, but i often play 4...Qe7.I am winning some games.I think this move is good.What about you?

4...Bc5 best by test.

You'd probably only play 4...Qe7 in the Scotch after drinking a gallon of it.

Well the bishop on f8 isn't very happy about this. Another problem is that although you might get some pressure on the e4 pawn White may be able to just sac it and take advantage of Black's poor development or even play something like Bg5 at some point just to provoke ...h6 and ...g5 which would also be bad for Black.

4...Qh4 is marginally better and yet it is still bad for similar reasons.
