4.b4 against Scandinavian

I think 4.b4 after e4 d5 ed Qd5 Nc3 Qa5 is an excellent manaevure!

After Qb4 Rb1 Qd6 White can perssurise b7 pawn and quickly develop his forces.

After both's castling on Kin'g Side,White can attack either with Rb3,Bd3-h7 followed by Ng5 and Qh5 or Re1-e3 with an excellent game

It's called the Mieses Gambit, and yes, it can be dangerous if Black's not prepared.

It’s actually called the Leonhardt Gambit, but yeah, it’s a very well respected response to the Mieses-Kotrc

The Scandinavian 3...Qa5 is my defense. 4 b4 is indeed aggressive and dangerous. Black is solid but if white can get in d5 in the opening black can be in big trouble quickly. GM Nakamura beat super junior GM Firouzja with 4 b4 in 19 moves in a rapid game with an early d5. In the really good repertoire book that I use -The Scandinavian for Club Players - black plays an early ...g6 and avoids playing an early ...e6 hook that white might could use for playing d5.

55:42 win rate 1600-2000 in the main line, and 56:42 in the almost as popular next common line for 89% of white's games.

GOLLY I hope it never catches on as i already hate playing the scandinavian enough already. OH! never mind, it's against the "chase my queen, chase her again" line
