@Keighley it is a clear 0.80 disadvantage for black in the Bxf7+ Traxler as a matter of fact. Thanks for your comment though. What is your opinion on the Schliemann or Bird ... which is better? Also, how is Qh4 dubious? Why is it dubious?

5.Bxf7+ Ke7, both 6.Bd5 and 6.Bb3 are between +.7 and +.9 for White!
5.Nxf7 Bxf2+ 6.Kf1 is even stronger
Traxler Counter-Gambit is a bust - don't play it.
As for the Bird and Jaenisch, this ought to give you an idea how bad one line is versus another.
The Jaenisch against the Ruy is light years better than the Traxler Countergambit against the 4.Ng5 Two Knights Defense
The Bird is lightyears better than the Jaenisch
3...a6 and the Berlin are lightyears better than the Bird.
