i think I’ve lost every other game I’ve ever played against a titled player that wasn’t an Alapin except for one time against a WIM, but I am undefeated against titled players with the Alapin. They haven’t even managed a draw against me. The Alapin is unstoppable

I enjoyed rapid chess when I was learning the game and in a period or linear improvement, but now I just play chess for pure enjoyment, and I enjoy blitz and bullet much more than I enjoy rapid. By far the best time control is 3 minute no increment in my opinion.
I encourage you to post your rapid games both with and against the Alapin on this thread though and we can collectively analyze them!

Go against a GM, or better yet, go against those NMs in a longer time control. We will see better games, not just from you, but also from them, since you actually have time to think about your moves.
I will play the Alapin against any GM at any time control if someone is able to arrange it.

That’s very thoughtful Pfren, but maybe we can cut out the middleman. You me 3 minute blitz game with the Alapin. Do you accept?
staples13 you should test it against some decent players [2500 or so] first.
Formulating such statement based on games with 1500s really dumb. Just play 100games against GM's here on chess.com and then come back.

NM’s are not good players?? That’s a little disrespectful and just untrue. NM’s are better than 99.99% of chess players. No they’re not Kasparov, but that doesn’t make them not fantastic players

@staples13, if you want to shut some mouths here, they way I see it, is play longer time limits and post the results into this thread. If you insist on playing 3 min games or less time limit, then this conversation will keep on until the end of days.
