Aggressive Openings against 1. e4?

Sort:
Nimzowitsch

What aggressive openings and gambits are there against e4? D4 too, but e4 is more common, and thus more important.

IoisIane

not sure if scandy counts, duras isn't that good

Nimzowitsch

Scandinavian is my main opening atm. And yes, I agree with you on the Duras.

EvidentRoad

Sicilian stuff.

Xiguadog

Play Sicilian or if its too complicated play e5

Nimzowitsch

What aggressive lines are there in e5, c5, and c6?

Tobstar123

I'd say maybe the Sicilian defence or even the Owen's Defence

but mainly in the Sicilian defence there are certain gambits that make the game pretty interesting but i doubt anyone will play them against you so idk

EvidentRoad

If you face Italian, play Two knights Defense, and play the Ulvestad.

You’ll need to learn it though

maybe you can find some aggressive lines in the french

I would help in this area but I think CP’s more of a Caro guy

TheUltraTrap

Sicilian if you're up for learning theory, otherwise some modern/pirc

BotvinnikTal
