Poor count Dracula is toothless- one of the easiest equalities Black can have in the opening.
Aggressive Response to 4...Nf6 in the Scotch
almost as bad as the kids who think they can play 3 chords on guitar means they are the next Clapton.
while I certainly agree, Clapton did make songs that were comprised of 3 chords with some fills.
how bout another simple 3 chord song Sweet Home Alabama (fills excluded)
here is another (Dust in the Wind)
another you say (Fortunate Son)
one more (Don't Fear the Reaper)
another... fine (Smooth [by Santana])
Yeah but how about all of the fills, solos, and everything else included in those songs? Don't fear the reaper is just idiotic to say that, it's crazy hard, as with the others.
actualy don't fear the reaper is ultra easy. if I were teaching a guy guitar that is the first song I would show some one. and for the clapton song its Wonderful Tonight. but no i excluded the fills and solo's because that is not what the song is comprised of primarily.
what so you are saying you would only teach them to shred. what happens when they need to play rythm, or would you call all rythm players wusses. honestly I would teach them the most central part of the song to the beginer that way he can learn why the solo works. and he can learn the basics of chord progressions and key. but teach them to shred first, and pretty soon when they find a rythm player who askes them to play a fill in the key of Bb said shredder will have no clue what the F*** the Rythm player said. where as my player will play something
Yeah but rythm players don't get the ladies, only the shredders do. And the solo is the shredding section, I said I wouldn't teach them that.
Or instead of playing 2. Nc3 I can just play Qh5 and win, nobody has posted a line where black isn't getting mauled, so I'd say it's a pretty good deal.
What you say is makin sense Joey. But that kid said he hates the Scotch because don't every line turn into checkmate in ten. You think he's gonna like an opening the give black two easy ways to equality?
He ain't lookin for good lines anyhow. You bright enough to see that.

Kid you a real trip.
Takes all kinds to make a world though. You have fun.
@ Joeydvivre: Black can simply play 5...Be7 instead of the adventurous 5...Nc6, when after 6.Nf3 Nc6 7.Nxe5 g6(!) 8.Qe2 0-0 (Ivanchuk played 8...Nd4 against Radjabov, which is fine, but unnecessarily complex) 9.0-0 Bf6 10.Nxc6 dc6 11.d3 Re8 12.Qf3 a5 13.a4 Be6 Sakaev claims that Black already has a tiny plus, and he is right.
Also, how come Black has "at least equalized" in # 928?
...d5 is coming, with or without a trade of the white squared bishop, when white is simply in a poor state. Engines after some thought verdict -0.37, which is quite clear an evaluation.
if you think you have a line, put it here:

If black play 3 Nc6 it just suck for white in that Vienna line.
