An interesting article to put Bishop's Opening into perspective....provides a little historical context as well....

"What Exactly is the Bishop's Opening" by Tim Harding...

Here is what Black will be trying to do against the 1.e4 e5 openings...

Emms again!....

Mihail Marin is an outstanding chess writer....his books tend to be a little more "advanced"....but excellent nevertheless...

A new repertoire book that looks like it could be interesting...by Martin Lokander....

http://www.amazon.com/Opening-Repertoire-Games-Black-Everyman/dp/1781941947/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=

I found that Martin Lokander was born in 1996....you can do the math....young, but obviously a very good chess player....

@ Rusbell.  Finally I have decided to buy one of the books you told me to play e4. I have read again your comments on it and may be I would prefer soltis, because I like the advance variation against French Defense,  though I do not konw much of KIA, and the against the Caro Kann, sincerely, I do not know wich one I prefer.

I have remarked that Soltis book looks quite old and do not have any comment  whereas Emms Books is full of very positive comments, I imagine that it is not too important but it draw my attention

Any suggestion?

Thanks

A very good introduction to the Advance Variation of the French Defence is...

"The French Advance" by Sam Collins

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1857446046?keywords=the%20french%20advance&qid=1452919513&ref_=sr_1_1&s=books&sr=1-1

The author does a better than average job of explaining the plans, strategies and thinking behind the moves...

The book is appropriate for both the White and the Black player of the Advance French, as the author is very objective and honest in his assessment of variations and lines of play...with no bias towards White or Black....

Wow!!! I am sincerely impressed in general by such and incredible answers/help you have given to me! It is not so easy to find people who takes so many time to help un unknown person in an altruisitic way.

Now I have homework for quite a few months ;) but at least I have a sistematic and organized way to learn about E4

THANKS!!

PS: Yes, I think e4 suits perfectly with me, I specially liked Grand Prix Attack, Vienna Gambit, and King`s Gambit, but I am goint to start with Emms Suggestions they seems quite educational and complete (also including Advanced Variation againt French) to a have a good general background and then I will see
