Alekhine books

Are there any Alekhine books which feature the following lines in a repetoire?   I used to have the really good book by Burgess, however im guessing that is really out of date now, especially for the topical cxd6 exchange which is constantly evolving

4.Nf3 dxe5 5.Nxe5 c6   main line

Exchange Variation with 5...cxd6, 9...Bf5

urk
I don't know but can you recommend something for White that annoys you on the Black side?

The Alekhine is troublesome.

I have always liked it as black, but had a break from chess and feel pretty rusty with it. Theory seems to have changed alot.

Currently the exchange seems to be giving black trouble, especially the cxd6 line where white goes for b3 etc.    The wikipedia page is actually fairly good , and has that line on it.  Think if i was white I would go echange route, and pay lots of attention to blacks possible moves on move 9 on the cxd exchange

Of course the ultimate annoyance for black is when white plays 2.Nc3

As long as you remember to play exd6 as a reply to cxd6 you should be solid in that one.

I dont know about the Exchange variation. But I know dxe5 followed by c6 is suggested for a non-theoritical Alekhine's repertoire in the book "Starting out, Alekhine's defense".

That was in the past, nowadays there's a generally accepted route to an edge for White (John Shaw). Be2, 0-0, Nf3 as a reply to Nd7 as to avoid exchanges and c4.

 Is that this one?

4.Nf3 dxe5 5.Nxe5 c6 6.Be2 Bf5 7.0-0 Nd7 8.Nf3 e6 9.c4 N5f6

Chess publishing seem to think black is doing ok in these lines.

Have been learning the French on the grounds it works in well with the Dutch (1...e6)   but toi be honest I feel at a bit of a loss in those french closed positions, there just too much to learn, and patterns to absorb.   Can pick up Alekhines 20 times faster.

Im not a professional when it comes to the Alekhine, but I wouldnt be worried about an opening edge for White, specially in OTB.

Have you tried this book?

Just ordered it, from the reviews it looks the best of the bunch for what I am interested in as it gives both options in the exchange etc rather than just being a repetoire book. I am not keen on them as like to choose my own lines

Actually I think chesspublishing.com has more value than most opening books.

For example in the following position Cox gives g6 a question mark due to Qd4 which is the move d5 is designed to prevent. However recent games show black is ok after Qd4 Rg8.   An opening like the Alekhine is constantly evolving which is what i like as black, there is always room to experiment
