In this thread, I invite everybody to discuss openings starting with 1. d4 and 2. Qd3. The title comes from the names Dutch defense: Alapin variation (1. d4 f5 2. Qd3) and Amazon attack (1. d4 d5 2. Qd3). I indicate SF9+ evaluations and suggested replies for black. explorer.png

 

  • 1. d4 Nf6 2. Qd3, ev=-0.2 => 2...d5 (-0.2), c5 (-0.1), e6 (+0.0)
  • 1. d4 d5 2. Qd3, ev=-0.2 => 2...Nf6, c5 (-0.2), e6 (-0.1) Amazon
  • 1. d4 e6 2. Qd3, ev=-0.3 => 2...d5 (-0.3), c5 (-0.2)
  • 1. d4 d6 2. Qd3, ev=+0.1 => 2...e5 (+0.1) gold.png
  • 1. d4 f5 2. Qd3, ev=+0.1 => 2...e6 (+0.1) gold.png Alapin
  • 1. d4 g6 2. Qd3, ev=+0.0 => 2...Bg7, d5 (+0.0), c6 (+0.1)
