9....e5 I think is considered a respectable move in this position.

@tonydal - the point is that now if black plays Bd7 then white can castle right away and black don't have d5 even tho white didn't played Bc4 to block it as usual...

@wango - 9...e5 is not a good move as the d6 pawn will remain weak for the rest of the game.. the same reason why e5 is not considerd a good move in the main lines..
