Any aggressive gambits I should try out with white?

I'm sorry you got upset that I criticised your favourite opening @chainlincfence.

I'm sorry I have to point out that yall are still saying fxe4 is the best move against d4 and that once again just like your opposer you're shortening some of the lines. In example 2, Pressure gets released even if it's not the best line.

Yeah, even if it's +1.1, that's because fxe4 and not exd4. Except, where is that squeezing you were talking about? Where again?

Bruh look

Your queen is on d6 and none of your pieces have anywhere useful to go. Best move here is Qe6. That's how miserable the position is. This is like +2.0.

After exd4

Look how sad your pieces are.

Bro litteraly made the mistake he keeps telling his opposers to not make. "I guide others to a gift I cannot obtain" should be your motto. YOU CUT THE LINE SHORT GODDAMIT.

You said they were sad right? right?

You know you could have this:

Bro makes the line shorter and shorter, next you're just going to say this:

"YoU rEaLlY pReFeR tHiS"

"OvEr ThIs?"

You're just taking a water leak and saying that it never happened, and instead pretending it was how it was 6 hours ago.

This argument’s getting a little bit heated, you guys need to chill a little

Just say “I don’t like the Rousseau because it’s unsound” and “I like the Rousseau because it’s a dynamic sideline that leads to a more open game” or something of the sort, it doesn’t matter. Just leave it be, there’s no reason to make the argument this heated.

ah yes the icbm

where you sacrifice a pawn to win the queen

and if your opponent doesn’t fall for it you’re in a terrible position

Why do people insist on playing garbage just for the dopamine rush of “oh wow he fell for it 🤣”? Play an actual opening, play actual chess. GothamChess hates the Ruy Lopez but he literally recommends the Englund Gambit. Almost no opening traps are sound compared to legitimate openings.

You already answered your own question with that. Those traps tend to be snappy, flashy, and quick. Thats what attracts a type of player. Most of the times they will just get away until a plateau. I am not talking about the quirky "oh I am 2500+ and still use these" people as they could beat a person with piece odds anyways so their point is moot there.

Yeah, basically.

Its more fun than effective for the most part, if your looking for a laugh then its perfect. but dont do it if you want to win more games

Ok, just double-checking. I thought it was actually part of your main repertoire lol

but yeah it is a fun trap if you manage to actually get it

Speaking of traps, here's one that actually is still good for you even if your opponent doesn't fall for it.

not at all, its really inconsistent and the scandinavian usually isnt played anyway, ive only got it to work once but it was beautiful. Its like the Bongcloud, you dont play it because its good, you play it because its funny and stupid at the same time

Lol. i actually picked both positions from the end of move number 5 of each opening, to make it fair.

You need to check your openings.

And it just so happened that move 5 is the point where you said black is dead lost on the original thread? "You need to check your openings", ok here, I'll make it better. Here, watch.

Yeah, so... you're going to need to go deeper because you're doing things you said yourself shouldn't. We all know the laughing emoji is something you use when I make a point and you need a cover-up for something, tell me wrong.

+1.1, what my engine says. If you put a engine on really high depths it'll say things like +4.5 assuming white can keep up a best move streak for 60 moves. If they can carry out every single best move, either they're cheating or they're memorizing lines, which is hard to do for 110 moves.

Damn I'm busted. You guys already knew? I was just coping with the epic hack that is the Rousseau Gambit 😭

Lol, you literally said before that you play these openings by memorising engine lines.

goddam now its refuted you guys happy?
