Well, I don't know what drunken knights did in Arctic but it sounds funny to me.Laughing

The public likes nice round numbers.

As if U were elected to speak for all public. In addition, this number 1661 is nice, at least, it's symmetrical in its decimal form.Laughing

If you play g6 and Bg7, you can easily end up with a wacky, but universal system. If black manages to get centre play there are also strong resemblances to the Gurgenidze system of the Caro-Kann.

if I was playing as white here I would play c4 b4 and a4 an aggressive system Sealed

Doesn't look like a good way to equalize.  Should be pretty easy to OTB this.

I tried to play it sometimes in some shorter games, heading for the Nf7-f6-e5 structure, which is very solid if pulled off. However it is also very slow. If white plays straightforward moves e4 and f4, he will lock you up later with some pawn push to the fifth rank and the white space advantage is just murder.
