Am not sure about current analysis of the Goring Gambit? [I did beat a GM with it but that was long ago.]
Are there any sound but very aggressive openings that I could play?
budapest isnt terrible as far as black gambits are concerned, but most of the good lines by white leave black pretty miserable. White ends up with a rock solid pawn structure, bishop pair and more often than not more space. white gets bishop and knight and no obvious weakness but that's it.
its just not a fun position for black to play +2300 player with white who can grind you with all the time in the world if he does his homework

I am considerably weaker than you but those lines are the reason I don't play into the grindy Rubinstein lines and play g5 after bf4 as displayed by Jobava
Smith Morra is not sound if you know the right way to accept the gambit.
I played the Smith Morra for years and had a great record vs masters and experts with it.
But now I know the best lines against it.
