I'm going to be careful because I understand people don't want to comment on ongoing games for ethical reasons, even, it seems, against a computer.

This is the situation.

I open d4 with white.  The computer responds with g6.  I play e4 and the computer follows with Nc6.

Looking at the opening explorer, 2...Nc6 doesn't come up once in this line.  I'd love to know what is so terrible about this move that no decent player would consider playing it.

According to the game explorer, 1...g6 was the last book move.

Oh, OK, so it's not listing all the moves?  I thought that was the extent of it in the database.  Still, it was listing moves that were played, if only once.

No, I'm not going to pay for premium membership, my credit card's overdrawn anyways.

I can figure it out myself anyways, it'll just take a bit of work.

It has been fun exposing the limits to knowledge available on here, in the name of profit.  But that's allright, I'm a capitalist.

The problem is the order of moves. The position you have after 1. d4 g6 2. e4 Nc6 can be found within the Nimzovich Defense 1. e4 Nc6  2. d4 g6. I found about 16 games with this order of moves on ChessBase's Big Database. All the games were played by amateurs and Black did not fare well.
