My worst opening is 1.a3, my best one is 1.d4
Best & Worst Openings

An opening i use fairly often is:
Followed by 3...Qd4#. So how does white have a comfortable game? This has got to be a joke right?

I don't know. 1.a3 is better than Na3, or Nh3.
nah
1.a3 isn't so bad if you don't mind playing as black but with a the a pawn moved.
yeah i know a strong 2000 rated player who used to love black and used to love playing and was extremely booked up on the Najdorf Sicilian (one of the systems where a6 is played) He also liked the benoni and kings indian against d4.

1. a3 is one of my most played openings. No joke. If you're White but you want to play as Black, a3 is your best bet.
Try analyzing the starting position with the a7 pawn on a6. You'll see what I mean.
But back on topic...
Best opening: 1. e4
Worst opening: 1. g4

Best: Ruy Lopez
Worst (that's commonly seen): THE GROBE
Anyone who want's to argue over this, feel free to do so.

I do not really think that any opening is that bad. I would be fine if the first moves of my game as White went a3 e5 h3 d5. The opening has its own ideas and can be actually fun to play. Toss computer evaluations out the window, they are way too narrow-minded. Any opening has its strong points and can lead to an advantage. (Unless you lose your queen or rook on move two) :). If anyone wants, they can challenge me to a game in almost any opening unrated and I will accept. This could be interesting.

1. g4 is definitely not the worst opening. But also not the best. It can work wonders if you know it better than your opponent, but that is true for every opening.
I would go with Nh3 for worst
(Unless you lose your queen or rook on move two) :).
I've been trying to think of a way to lose either a queen or rook on move two. I suppose it is semantics since although I don't think a rook can be captured on move two, they can be hanging by that point? Now the queen 1. e3 g6 2. Qh5.... etc, but a rook?
Whats your worst and favourite Openings, in your opinion and technacialy?
