What's the best chess openings for beginners?
Just go with the “best by test” 1.e4. Flexible. You don’t have to worry about fancy tactics. You can develop quickly. Stick with that and you’ll do fine. Wait until you’re better at chess to expand your opening repertoire. Hope you found this helpful.

For white, the Center Game or Bishops Opening. They are direct, very solid, easy to learn, all the action is in the center, and they emphasize/reward principled play.

The Scotch Game is a straight forward opening that takes control of the center quickly.
I think that sokolsky opening is best for beginner because they often overlook g7 pawn

It doesn't matter what opening you play so long as it has pedigree, in other words is established not one of the ludicrous. I used to be quite decent at chess especially 20 years ago playing over the board tournaments my repertoire was limited but I had played the same openings for 40 years so you have no surprises from your opponents as white i either played 1.d4 or 1.c4 and as black either 1...c6 v e4 or 1..Nf6 as black heading for slav setups ... key is know what your doing and avoid any surprises from your opponents play early .
