I would put it to just one opening, but I don’t have much knowledge to pull from since I’m still in that “1-2 openings per side” developmental stage, but I’ve always liked the Scotch for lower level players since the gambit can trap sub-1000 players, but that doesn’t work out very well now. I’d probably put the London high for intermediate players?

There is no such thing !
The best opening is the one you know and understand best. Anything can be played (moreover at a beginner level)
