There is no “best opening.” There are good openings, and there are bad openings, but what constitutes the best opening is mostly subjective. Just choose a sound opening that you’re comfortable with.

Best opening is f3 then g4 f3 supports g4 and e4 and strengths the position and g4 helps build up a kingside attack

Please Matthew just respect this forum a bit. Most of them having over with the best openings. But with thier own opinion. So everything can.

Bro sussyguy playing f3 instantly weakens white's kingside.

And black can play e5 so white wouldn't be able to play g4 because then it weakens more the white's kingside and then black can play Qh4+#mate.

Push* the f-pawn in the first moves in case it is f4 the bird opening.

Stating the hard truth is not "disrespecting" the forum. There is no "Best opening" There are a finite number of good openings. What works best for one doesn't work best for another. It is a hard fact that against 1.e4, the best moves for Black are 1...e5, 1...e6, 1...c5, and 1...c6. The other 16 moves are inferior to varying degrees. For example, 1...d6 is inferior to the "big four", but it is still vastly superior to say, 1...h5.

But of the big four, no one is better than the other three. I play 1...e6 and 1...e5, but others may play 1...c5 or 1...c6. Every person's thought process is different, and that thought process will often dictate whether you understand 1...c5 better or 1...e5.

But to call out that a person giving you hard facts as not "respecting the forum" is hogwash.
