No, it isn't. The French is e6, d5. That sounds like either the Slav or Caro Kann to me, although it depends on white's moves.

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if someone could help me.
I played against a person and he/she used an opening that used both bishops to front the king and queen.
I'm sure it's an old one but I'm new to the openings.
He/She was black and made the following moves.
d6, e5, Bd7, Be7.
