You do realize that this was just a freak phenomenon of nature, right?
Bongcloud Attack - Advance Variation

As I understand it, the objective of the bongcloud is for the king to end up on the 8th rank (and I think its main exponent has made that quite clear in his analysis of his masterpiece).
Your king only reached the 3rd before having to retreat - your opening clearly failed in its objectives and your opponent deserves credit for refuting it, before unfortunately making a couple of blunders in the middle game.

lol yes it was just a bit of fun, don't worry I wasn't planning on using it in an OTB tournament or anything ;-). The 'Bongcloud' as I understand it is the opening 1.e4 followed by 2.Ke2 - some people choose to then expand on the opening for fun to try and get their king to the other side of the board etc, I don't think I would be that brave!.. but it is intriguing to tackle people's comfort zones with opening repertoires from time to time by playing a highly unorthodox opening and seeing how they react! Can yield some surprising results if you've done your homework in advance, given that few openings are automatically losing, no matter how unsound they may look!

I think your biggest error was in not capturing black's final pawn before delivering mate, which would have been a truly worthy ending to a successful Bongcloud.

Was a 15 min time control! thanks! Actually i've now used the opening about 7 times in live chess and won all bar one match including one against a 1700+ rated player, so despite all the problems the opening causes white it is not necessarily a total duffer of an opening unless black is very disciolined in how he plays it ;-)

its obvious to a fish like me that the players were on a level so far advanced from the "normal" grandmasters that only kasparov could make sense of the intellectual combat and subtle psychological decisions made during the course of that exciting game. a side note, i read that fischer's second, lenny bongcloud, was a native of afganistan who was improted to mexico for political and financial reasons in the late 1950's. he was smuggled across the mexican/american border during the height of the cold war. once in america founded small but devoted "church" if you will, in san fransisco whose members included the grateful dead, jimmi hendrix and the doors. bongclouds innovative style of chess drew the attention of the up and coming chess prodigy, bobby fischer. the corresponded with each other regularly through the 60's and 70's, bongclouds theoretical novelties were ahead of his time and are still considered dubious at best by todays top grandmasters. however, masters for generations now, have spent many "interesting nights" studying with bongcloud close by.
An attempt to peform miracles with a much maligned defense..this far from perfect live chess rated game sees the mighty Bongcloud double king advance get an unlikely win! One for all you contrarians out there who like to see the opening book torn to shreds once in a while in the name of fun.. Enjoy..
