Book Recommendation for Sicilian

Anyone have a good book around 2000 USCF strength for good systems for playing against the Sicilian?

Basically I haven't played e4 for around 2 years, and I'm trying to get back into it. The biggest black opening I'm worried about re-learning is the Sicilian and all of it's variations. Anyone have a good book recommendation for what I'm trying to do.

Thanks :)

I am really just guessing, but, for a 2000 player, I wonder if the thing to do is to go for Modernized: The Open Sicilian by Zhanibek Amanov, Kostya Kavutskiy.

How to beat the Sicilian Defense - By Gawain Jones

Explains the sidelines against all Sicilian defenses. Very good in my opinion! I play all of his lines with success! Open sicilian is just too much memorization for me

Thanks :)

I got Modernized: The Open Sicilian last year and I've enjoyed going through the games and variations. It's a pretty big book and I'm not even half way through all the lines but I've had some good games with these lines and I'm more comfortable with most sicilian positions as white. Since it's also pretty new all the lines are well checked by the authors and top engines (I've also put them through stockfish confirming this). The one thing that may put you off of this book is that many recommended lines are not the most played such as the h3 line against the najdorf, g3 systems against the kan and taimanov, and 9...0-0-0 against the dragon. But maybe that could be a good thing too! Anyway, maybe check these lines out before you decide but as an e4 player I've enjoyed this book.

Negi wrote a book recently about 1.e4 against the Sicilian. I heard it's excellent even though I haven't yet purchased it.

It depends what you're looking for, but if you're into English Attacks, the Jesus de la Villa book is quite worth looking at. Theoretically heavy, but a well-researched book featuring very aggressive lines for white.

I like Gawain's book also. For the open sicilian, I have Dismantling the Sicilian which is pretty decent but Modernized: The Open Sicilian is supposed to be good and it is much more up-to-date.

I think the kan is very tactical if you know it. My coach 2100 plays it and scores very well!

Do you know any books on the Fischer-Sozin attack? I would appreciate it if you suggested any such book.

I think there is a book of Mikhail Golu
