ah yes the extremely unsound opening that dictates the meaning " I will kill your king"
Boulder Attack

My thoughts are 2... e6, gain an advantage right out of the opening, beat your opponent, and move on.
Nothing more to add!!

What an oddity, the Boulder Attack. Everyone at this site plays it looking for a quick mate. It sickens me how much I must face it. What are your thoughts? Experiences?
For those of you who are unaware of what it is, it arises from 1. e4 c5 2. Bc4?!
I know, I've posted the same topic. It's a nasty-looking opening. 2... e6 is best to immediately say "your Bishop is shooting at a brick wall", but I still like 2... d6 then 3... e6 because I can't get used to the French Sicilian lines.
You see, it's just what beginners learn - Bishop to c4. It's so common to learn this against e4 e5 that they think it works for everything. The beginner's mind says, when opening, "Go for Scholar's Mate, and if that fails, then just play some stuff." Just play soundly, parry the threats, and then drive back the Bishop with e6 and d5 or a6 and b5 at a good moment and your position is equal or better. Think of the Bowlder Attack as a gift!
