I've noticed a lot of members looking for openings to play.
Ideally, your opening choice should be sound, offer good winning chances and not be too theoretical (Unless you enjoy the standard Ruy Lopez or Sicilian Dragon, openings that have been analyzed from opening move to endgame)
I recommend checking out the "Secrets of Opening Surprises" series, edited by Jeroen Bosch and featuring unique opening lines from top GM's with the occassional IM thrown in for luck.
There are currently 12 books in the series. Each book usually contains about 10 new opening ideas, along with topical games and general strategy. Enough info to play the opening.
From these, you should be able to cobble together a repetoire that is unusual yet sound.
Check it out, and good chess!
