Can I play Sicilian with black instead of 1.e4?

Hi. I am a beginner and I've played 1.e4 for 2 years in the beginning period but not continuously.
Now I'm studying and play London system.
If I want to learn tactics and open games again.
Can I choose to play Sicilian with black to get tactics and open games learning instead of 1.e4 ?
( I will try a few variations of Sicilian.)
Because of playing 1.e4 with white has to meet with many openings : Sicilian, French, Caro Kann, e5 etc.
Or going back to play 1.e4 with white is better for learning?
Thank you.

You are going all over the place with this.

You can't play the Sicilian instead of 1.e4. The Sicilian IS an e4 opening, and occurs when Black responds to 1.e4 with 1...c5.

The questions you should be asking yourself are:

As White, do I want to play 1.e4 or the London System? I can tell you in the learning stages, 1.e4 is better because you get more diverse pawn structures.

Then, as Black, do you want to play the Sicilian or something else (1...e5, French, Caro-Kann) AGAINST 1.e4?

I still really don't know what openings I like to play.
May be I'm still in the studying mode. Try something and others.
Now I study London system to have some feeling about 1.d4.
But I think that I've learn a little about tactics and open games.
So I have some choices.
1. I continue learning London system for white, play QGD for black ( with 1.d4) and Sicilian for Black (with 1.e4).
2. I go back to learn 1.e4 for white, play QGD for black ( with 1.d4) and may be Scandinavian or Sicilian or others for Black (with 1.e4).
My interesting point is learning tactics and open games more.
But 1.e4 has to play with many openings, so I think playing Sicilian with black can be the other choice.

You are rated 1487. You should not worry about openings.
You so not win or lose because of the opening, but because of tactical errors.
All this learning openings is a waste of time and effort.
What you learn does not happen, and when it finally happens you will have forgotten.

Just pick:

  1. a defense for black against 1 e4, preferably 1 e4 e5,
  2. a defense for black against 1 d4, preferably 1 d4 d5,
  3. and an opening for white, preferably 1 e4.

Then stick to those and play those and analyse your lost games.
Each time you switch openings you lose more, not less.
It takes time and losses to accumulate experience.

May be I didn't ask the right questions.
What is your recommend?
Do we have another choice to study open games and tactics instead of playing 1.e4 as white?
Thank you.

"What is your recommend?"
++ I recommend to defend 1 e4 e5 and 1 d4 d5 as black and to open 1 e4 as white.
If you alread have experience with some other main openings,
then it is better to stick to those, as each opening switch costs you losses.

"Do we have another choice to study open games and tactics instead of playing 1.e4 as white?"
++ There are plenty of tactics in all openings.
If you prefer open games, then 1 e4 is your best choice.

The suggestions at #4 are absolutely fine, as long as you are a beginner/ post-beginner.

When you improve, you can switch openings, say to the very same ones, at a greater depth.

There are cases of strong Grandmasters which have played the very same openings thoughout their career, not bothering about the opponent's "opening preparation" and such.

Mazetoskylo. Thank you.
I think I should move back to 1.e4 to learn more about open games and tactics.
